“HEAT UNITES US” — under this very slogan, a visit organized by Water Point LLC brought together representatives of Ukrainian district heating companies to meet with their Polish counterparts. During the visit, the intersectoral association “Ukrteploenergo,” in cooperation with the Convention of Heads of Municipal Enterprises, presented Ukraine’s district heating sector at the international energy exhibition POWER CONNECT 2026 in Gdańsk (Poland).
From March 17 to 20, the program was busy with events, meetings, and activities.
One of the highlights was a visit to one of Poland’s most advanced waste-to-energy plants — the Clean Energy Port. This facility addresses several key challenges: reducing waste volumes, and generating both heat and electricity.
The round table “Cooperation between the district heating associations of Poland and Ukraine” became a platform for open and meaningful dialogue between experts from both countries. The discussions held during the round table were later quoted at other panels of the exhibition.
The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the two associations.
